This exhibit will feature the selected work of approximately 50 artists from the greater Boston/New England area who were chosen by this years juror: Arlene Mollo.

Nancy Deveno

Nancy Deveno, artist and Medfield Public Schools Art Teacher, was granted a sabbatical to study and paint in Italy during the 2001-2002 school year. This exhibit will feature over fifty paintings she produced in Italy during that time.

The Zullo Gallery is proud to announce the Nancy Deveno solo exhibit featuring Nancy's oil on canvas paintings of the Italian countryside. Each piece is rendered in Nancy's own style of brilliant color schemes and balanced brushstrokes. The exhibit begins on February 1. The Reception which is free and open to the public will be held on February 8 from 7-9pm.

Nancy Deveno is currently an art instructor at the Dale Street School in Medfield. She lives in Needham Massachusetts with her husband Rich Pagano.

A Solo Exhibition of work by artist Wade Zahares
Dates:
Opens November 9 - continues through January 12, 2003


Opening Reception: Saturday, November 9 7-9pm open to the public, free.

The four books Mr. Zahares has illustrated will be available to purchase and have signed

Gallery Talk: Sunday January 5 1-3pm
Mr. Zahares will discuss his work and answer questions

This exhibit will feature more than thirty pastel paintings by award winning artist Wade Zahares. Over the past five years Mr. Zahares has illustrated four books for children including:
ìWindow Musicî , ìDeliveryî, ìRed Are The Applesî and ìBig, Bad and a little bit Scaryî

ìWindow Musicî was selected by The New York Times Book Review and Time Magazine as one of the Best Illustrated Childrens Books of The Year for 1998.

This is the first exhibit to present the original artwork from all four of Mr. Zaharesís books.The show will also include a number of other fine art pieces by Mr. Zahares.

9th Juried Exhibition
Dates:
September 14 - October 27, 2002

The gallery will be accepting entries throughout the summer for its 9th Juried Exhibition
The exhibition will be presented in September, 2002.
This years juror will be artist Wade Zahares
This exhibit is made possible in part from a grant from The Medfield Women's Association.

To enter: Interested applicants may submit up to three slides or prints. The gallery requests a $15.00 donation from each applicant. Checks should be made payable to the Zullo Gallery.
Each print or slide must include:

1. Artist's name, address and phone number
2. Title, medium, size and date work was completed

DEADLINE: All entries must be received by TUESDAY, AUGUST 20, 2002
If you wish slides and prints to be returned, please include self addressed stamped envelope with material.
NOTIFICATION: All artists will be notified of the juror's selections by August 31

Selected art work must be properly framed and delivered to the Zullo Gallery by Saturday, September 7.
The gallery reserves the right to exclude any work that on delivery is different from what was represented in the applicant's slide or print. All work must be available for sale. The gallery receives a 35% commission on all work sold. Selected slides or prints may be may be used for publicity purposes.

This exhibit is an excellent opportunity for artists to gain exposure and recognition of their work. It is also a chance for the gallery to discover new artists for future exhibits.

Gallery exhibit at Zebra's Bistro in Medfield
Dates:
July - September, when the shop is open Monday-Saturday
The Zullo Gallery does not present any exhibits in the gallery space during the summer, but this year, we have an opportunity to present the work of three outstanding artists at Zebra's Bistro in Medfield from July through September.

For those individuals who didn't get the chance to see the work of Medfield artist Stephen Luecke and Kathleen McDonough of Carlisle during the Zullo Gallery's May - June exhibit, the show at Zebra's will give you a second chance. In addition, the work of Sandra Myatt will be featured. The exhibit contains almost thirty paintings in oil and pastel of landscapes, street scenes and still lifes by these three accomplished artists.

Zebra's will host a reception for the artists on Sunday, July 9 from 4-6 p.m. All are invited and admission is free.

Paintings at Zebra's can be viewed Monday through Saturday after 12 o'clock when "The Shop", which sells a small variety of freshly baked bread, pasta, and desserts opens.
The coffee and wine bar opens at 5 p.m. and dinners are served beginning at 6 p.m.
Zebra's Bistro is located at 21 North Main Street next to the Mobile Station in Medfield Center, just off Route 109. For more information call 508.359.4100.

Description:
This years juror will be Kathleen McDonough. Ms. McDonough, a graduate of The Montserrat College of Art, is a well established, successful painter, whose work is featured in many private and corporate collections including Fidelity Investments, New England Life Insurance Co., Goldman Sachs and The New England Telephone Company. Her work has most recently been featured at The DeCordova Museums Art in the Park Exhibit, a solo exhibit at The Powers Gallery in Acton, Mass. and The Zullo Gallery's 10 Year Retrospective Exhibition.
The Juried show traditionally begins the gallery season (this will be the Zullo Gallery's 12th season exhibiting art) and is an excellent opportunity for emerging and established artists to exhibit their work. In the past the exhibit has been very successful and has featured a wide variety of artists, styles, subjects and mediums.

thousand artists working in a wide variety of mediums and styles. This, our
